Emotions University
Emotional skills, explained so you can use them.

Education, not psychotherapy
Emotions University is a self-paced educational platform, not psychotherapy or individualized clinical treatment. The courses provide general education, skills instruction, and opportunities for practice. They do not include clinical assessment, individualized treatment recommendations, or a therapist-client relationship with Lana Schneidt.
Courses are available for general educational purposes regardless of where you live. If you're looking for individualized therapy, that's a separate service offered through Lana's counseling practice.

Learn on your own. Or use it alongside therapy.
Learn with Lana was created to make DBT skills education accessible beyond the therapy room.
You can work through the course independently, at your own pace. It can also be used alongside DBT-informed individual therapy, where the course provides foundational psychoeducation and skills instruction while therapy focuses more deeply on applying those skills to your specific patterns, relationships, challenges, and goals.
The course teaches the skills. Therapy helps you make them your own.

About Lana
Experienced, direct, and focused on what works.
I’m a mental health counselor in private practice in Tampa, where I work with people navigating emotional, behavioral, relational, and life challenges. My areas of clinical focus include DBT, trauma and PTSD, and substance use. I also train and supervise other clinicians.
Emotions University grew out of that clinical work — a way to share the same practical skills and concepts with people who want structured learning outside of individual therapy.
I created Learn with Lana because I believe people can benefit from having access to clear explanations, opportunities to practice, and the ability to return to skills when they need them.
